Maybe you don’t want a ceremony.
Maybe you don’t want an audience, a story, personal vows or fifteen minutes of everyone looking at you.
Maybe you just want to get married.
You, your two witnesses and me. That’s it.
And just because there are only five of us standing there doesn’t make the moment any less special. Sometimes, keeping it this simple is exactly what makes it beautiful.
We can do it in your backyard. My backyard. At the park. On the beach. At your favourite café or over a drink at the pub.
Bunnings? Look, if that’s your thing, I’m not here to judge.
We’ll say the 126 words that legally need to be said, sign the paperwork and just like that — you’re married.
Five people. One very important moment. And you’re officially married.
SO… WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS?
This one really is as simple as it sounds.
We’ll meet beforehand to take care of the paperwork and make sure everything is ready to go.
Then, on the day, it’s just the five of us — you two, your two witnesses and me.
I’ll take care of the legally required words, you’ll say the words you legally need to say, and if you’d like to exchange rings, you absolutely can.
We’ll sign the paperwork, I’ll give you your commemorative marriage certificate, and afterwards I’ll lodge everything with Births, Deaths and Marriages.
That’s it. You’re married.
No story to write. No ceremony to plan. No need to turn it into anything more than you want it to be.
Just a small, meaningful moment that does one very important thing.

Your Make It Official ceremony is for just the five of us — the two of you, your two witnesses aged 18 or over, and me.
I’ll prepare all the legal paperwork beforehand, bring everything we need on the day and lodge your marriage documents with Births, Deaths and Marriages afterwards.
You’ll receive your commemorative marriage certificate on the day. If you’d also like an official marriage certificate from BDM afterwards, you can order that directly from BDM at your own cost.
There’s no PA, no personalised ceremony writing and no personal vows — although if exchanging rings is important to you, bring them along. We’ll absolutely make room for that.
Make It Official is available Monday to Friday within my immediate local area.
Saturday and Sunday appointments may also be available on request and subject to availability, with an additional $200 weekend fee.
